The TELT Project – A Strategic Connection Between France and Italy
The TELT project is a key element of the new railway connection between France and Italy through the Alps. Its central component is the Mont Cenis Base Tunnel, approximately 57.5 km long, which upon completion will become one of the longest railway tunnels in the world.



The project plays a strategic role in European transportation by enabling a significant shift of freight traffic from road to rail, reducing CO₂ emissions, and improving both the efficiency and safety of transport across the Alps.
